Difficult Decisions

"Sharing the Gospel to the ends of the earth"

Do you have any difficult decisions you need to make right now?  Difficult decisions are tough to make.  How do we know what the right choice is?

We often put these decisions off and time has a way of making the decision for us. By doing nothing, our decision is made.

Every day you make decisions, without much effort, but those big ones, they are tough to make. You know so much is at stake, either in a relationship, career, leaving one job for another one or knowing God’s will on a matter.

There are numerous passages, in the Bible, where men and women had big decisions that they had to make.  They always inquired of the Lord, on what He would have them do.

Here are some ideas on how to make a good decision:

Pray.  Ask God to show you what He wants you to do.

Talk to some wise, Christian friends and family members about your choices.  Get their input.

Write out a list of pros and cons.  Use some logic.

Does the choice you want to make, align with scripture?  What does God’s Word say about it?

Do you really already know the correct option to choose, but are procrastinating?

What would Jesus do?

Ask God to impress upon your heart, what He wants you to do.

If time is running out and you must make a decision, choose what you think is the best option and ask God to block anything you might do, that would be a mistake.  Make your choice and know and trust, that God is leading you and will make your path straight.

God wants you to walk in His will.  He is not trying to hide it from you.  Ask Him to make it so clear, that you can’t possibly miss it.

Make your decision and trust that God will work all things out for your good.  Walk in total dependence in God, throughout your life.  Don’t be paralyzed or live in fear of making  big decisions.  Let God lead you and incline your heart to choose what He wants you to do, in all the decisions you must make in life.

Confidently make your decision after you have determined, what you believe God is leading you to do.  He is not afraid to make big decisions.   With His guidance, you won’t be either.

Have a blessed day, knowing that God will guide you, in every decision you must make!
